Another hot week in Santa Monica! Thank God it's finally cooling down. This week I had lunch with a friend at this hidden spot a short walk or bike ride from the Santa Monica Pier. It's called the Venice Ale House and it really is a gem. Located right on the boardwalk, this place has more cool beers than you can imagine! Although I'm not a huge beer drinker, everyone was having a nice cold one. They have an incredible selection and my friend downed two tasty blonde beers with me on the outside patio. Surprisingly, the food here is great and the menu has a lot of selection. It's actually a great brunch / lunch / salad spot - try the chicken sandwich!

Another great weekend in and around Santa Monica! The weather finally cooled down a bit and it felt like Autumn. A great place to view the fall foliage is to take a walk or run down San Vicente Blvd.

I had a delicious breakfast burrito this morning at the Literati Cafe. It's a great place to hang out, read a book, do some work. It can get crowded on weekends, but the place has lots of seating.

Good morning everyone! Beautiful day outside. I think I'll go watch Sunday football at Busby's. Go Cowboys and Giants!

Yesterday, I visited Stella Barra, a great spot for gourmet pizza.
Pretty much everything is great on the menu. The only downside is that it gets really crowded around dinner time and service can be a bit slow. Make sure to call ahead for reservations! Tip for the guys: the girls that work the bar are always super cute.
